This site is not appropriate for development for the reasons below:

It is contrary to Policy SP7 and is directly contrary to the conclusions reached in Appendix 3D of the sustainability survey of  the sites in 2014

The site :

- is visually intrusive: difficult to screen, highly visible from many viewpoints over long distances

- such ribbon development extends the village into rural land, away from its core.

- involves the loss of greenfield arable land

- has only very weak and inadequate landscape protection proposed for it

- erodes the separation between Aldington and Smeeth, contrary to ABC policy SP7

The  site is not sustainable because of poor infrastructure:

- buses are infrequent, on weekdays only

- roads are poor and very narrow

- there is no Doctor's surgery

- the school is full

Do you consider it necessary to participate at the oral part of the examination? No
