Comment

MC94 to the allocation contained within Policy S51 - Aldington - Land North of Church View is supported.

It is considered that the proposed Main Change 94 and the identification of this land for allocation for up to 10 dwellings has been appropriately considered and is consistent with National Policy. It is a positive response to the council's requirement to provide sufficient housing to meet objectively assessed housing need, the allocation is justified in this respect and by having a supportive landowner it is an effective allocation and ultimately deliverable.

There are no overriding constraints to the development of the site as currently envisaged by the proposed allocation in the local plan.

Should the council require itself to find further housing sites, due to problems encountered with other allocations, then it is pointed out that this allocation could be enlarged as it can readily accommodate more development than the 10 dwellings allocated within the available site which also includes land with a frontage to Roman Road.
