I think development of rural gardens turning them over to housing is fundamentally wrong and that rural gardens should be considered as greenfield sites, so not for development, and not considered as brownfield sites. Such developments can be haphazard and you can end up with odds and ends that don't match. I understand that occasionally it might  be appropriate but I think these should be a rarity not the norm.
