Saxon Shore Residents overwhelmingly support: - No further allocated development in Aldington thus they oppose MC 94 and MC95 Reasons: - degree and scale of unplanned development in the past 10 years Lack of sensible and tangible investment in infrastructure - Drip drip erosion of rural life through damage to wildlife settings, quality of life, noise, increase in population and general effect of cumulative development.

MC94 to the allocation contained within Policy S51 - Aldington - Land North of Church View is supported. It is considered that the proposed Main Change 94 and the identification of this land for allocation for up to 10 dwellings has been appropriately considered and is consistent with National Policy. It is a positive response to the council's requirement to provide sufficient housing to meet objectively assessed housing need, the allocation is justified in this respect and by having a supporti

Aldington has had a fair share of small to large developments over the past few years and the infrastructure has not been adjusted to facilitate the extra people, cars and needs. We have no GP surgery, an extremely poor bus service and our roads around the village are getting really busy and there isn't the appropriate speed restrictions in certain areas.

The proposed site has to be considered with MC95 as they are adjoining, so my comments relate to both. The sites were excluded from the previous draft plan and the reasons that ABC gave then for not including them has not changed. ABC have given no evidence in the main changes to the plan to change their original view These two sites should not be included in the 2030 Local Plan, just to make up a supposed shortfall in the number of houses to be built. The Village Protection Policy should be

S51 (MC94) – Aldington, Land north of Church View These sites are located over a Principal Aquifer and adjacent to a historic landfill. For all of the above sites, adequate investigation and risk assessment should be carried out to address any contamination and risks to controlled waters. In completing any site investigations and risk assessments the applicant should assess the risk to groundwater and surface waters from contamination which may be present and where necessary propose appropriat

The proposal is contrary to ABC policy SP7 and is directly contrary to the conclusions reached om Appendix 3D of the sustainability survey of sites in 2014 and the Village Protection Policy. The site is not appropriate to any development for the following reasons. The site: * is visually intrusive - very visible from many viewpoints and over long distances and is difficult to screen. * extends the village into rural land away from its core * involves the loss of greenfield arable land * ha

The site is not appropriate for any development because it is contrary to policy SP7 and the proposal is directly contrary to the conclusions reached in Appendix 3D of the sustainability survey of sites in 2014. The proposal will result in urban density in a rural area. Any further development in Aldington should be only one-off, infill developments of one or two dwellings within the village curtilage. Aldington has had more than it's fair share of developments recently. The site: - is visual
