I would like a landscape Protection Policy similar to Aldington's to be adopted borough wide. My concern is the protection of green spaces, rural landscapes, wildlife areas and the the specific and unique characteristics of rural villages. I'd like to see protected green belts between settlements in and around the Ashford urban area to prevent urban sprawl, and I'd like all the local plan policies to reflect the same philosophy that's covered in the landscape protection policy being proposed b

I would like to ensure that our green spaces, rural landscapes, wildlife areas and the unique characteristic of the charming, rural villages are protected. Main Change MC103 High Halden Parish Council has met twice to discuss the Main Changes in the revised draft of the Ashford Local Plan to 2030, with considerable input from parishioners. This proposed allocation at Pope House Farm is acknowledged to be constrained by landscape factors, proximity to historic buildings, the presence of gas infrastructure, the protection of hedgerows and mature trees and a lack of drainage.
