Comment | Section 4.62 Acknowledges the need for 'visual separation' for the village of Kingsnorth and a 'barrier' for the small cluster of homes on Pound Lane but there is no supporting evidence of this, or reassurance for other residents close by in the Washford Farm and Knights Park area. The open space and uninterrupted skyline along the south of Pound Lane, and mature trees, greenery and scenery provides a calm area for local residents to walk and de-stress. There is no substitution for this. Mention of land to the south of the development (same with Court Lodge) to be kept open is necessary but again no compensation for losing open space on our doorsteps, resulting in having to walk further through residential areas to reach open space. This clustering of housing will only serve to make local residents feel more "hemmed in" with no buffer even mentioned or considered for them. I am therefore in full support of the Landscape Protection Policy and want acknowledgement of the importance of this easily accessible open space for physical and mental health. |
