These representations are submitted in response to draft Policy TRA2 Strategic Public Parking Facilities as set out in the publication draft Local Plan to 2030. This Policy seeks to safeguard two potential Park and Ride facilities one at Chilmington Green and another at The Warren. We consider there is no realistic prospect of the Local authority implementing a Park and Ride strategy and the safeguarding of land at The Warren is unnecessary and unjustified. We feel dismayed by the lack of traffic impact assessments for most of Ashford Borough, relating to both building contractor traffic and the increased population. How can your plan be effective without these assessments? Likewise, how will highways work scheduled for several major routes be coordinated to ensure that Ashford keeps moving over the coming months and years? What plans and policies do you have in place to minimise disruption? Without these, your plan is unsound.

Can you please explain how much traffic increase will be involved on a small rural road that has no method for walkways and is used by parents to walk from Knights Park estate to the Kingsnorth Primary School. You are adding 950 houses and expect a small rural road to take this capacity.
