The continued OVER DEVELOPMENT of the Willesborough Lees and Kennington areas regarding housing and the expected levels of traffic. Developments in Blackwall Road South, Large Burton, Conningbook Lakes, The rear of the William Harvey Hospital will add to the pollution, traffic jams and noise in the local area. Bearing in mind this area is already over an acceptable limit for local residents. Ten years ago there were never traffic jams on the approach to the William Harvey Hospital. Now it is a d

The attached document outlines our concerns in Part 1, Section 4 that our Parishioners have found it extremely difficult to comment on the Plan. Thus we consider that question 4 is flawed as we do not have professional legal or planning knowledge. Part l also looks at the policies which we consider are UNSOUND. Part two of the attached document places objections to two sites in Kingsnorth Parish, S3 Court Lodge (page 50) and S4 Land north of Steeds Lane and Magpie Hall Road (page 55) which we c

POLICY TRA7 – THE ROAD NETWORK AND DEVELOPMENT The policy states the hierarchy of the road networks managed by the Local Highway Authority. The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) states that most of the traffic from development should be targeted towards primary and secondary hierarchy routes on the local highway network. The Policy states that "New accesses and intensified use of existing accesses onto the primary or secondary road network will not be permitted if a materially risk of r

Please find see attached document. Extract below: Policy TRA7 – The Road Network and Development 5.26 Paragraph 32 of the NPPF makes it clear that: 'Development should only be prevented or refused on transport grounds where the residual cumulative impacts of development are severe.' 5.27 Policy TRA7 as currently worded requires developments that generate significant highway movements to be well related to the primary and secondary highway network and that this network should have 'adequa

It is clear from a study of any road map of Ashford that road and highway development in the town is far from efficient and that there has been little traffic modelling to underpin various kinds of urban development (mainly housing and employment areas). A ready example of this is the need for the additional Junction 10a on the M20. Nowhere else in the country has two proposed motorway junctions so closely located and it is one of the outputs from traffic modelling to make sure this type of need
