Overall we are pleased to note that matters of interest to us have been addressed and as such we consider the sound. We do however, have a few comments to make and suggested amendments for clarification purposes. ENV9 - Sustainable Drainage The importance of SuDS as a way of providing biodiversity enhancement is highlighted here. The need for long term maintenance of sustainable drainage features, however, doesn't appear to be given enough weight (item j). Long term maintenance is essential.

Policy S28 - Charing – Northdown Service Station, Maidstone Road We consider a petrol filling station to be a potentially contaminative use. Any redevelopment must consider this, and take appropriate measures to prevent any pollution to controlled waters.
