We support the aims and objectives of this policy
While reference to BAP habitats in the second paragraph is understood, these are also referred to as Priority Habitats.

Policy ENV1 – Biodiversity
Generally the policy is well received and supported, subject to the comment below.
Paragraph 5.296 correctly identifies the two international sites located within the Borough. However, it should be noted that development in the Borough could also impact on Dungeness, Romney Marsh and Rye Bay SPA. Areas of functionally linked land are potentially located in the Borough. This should be reflected in the wording of Policy ENV1 to avoid confusion.
