The plan is surprisingly silent on climate change. Although it is agreed that the Code for Sustainable Homes cannot now be a local requirement given the outcomes of the Housing Standards Review. It is still important that new development proactively seeks to ensure development is designed to reduce carbon emissions. The policy should also relate to housing.
