The County Council – as Local Minerals and Waste Planning Authority - confirms that, according to British Geological Survey safeguarding data, Sub-alluvial River Terrace Deposits and Limestone (Hythe Formation - Kentish Ragstone) are present within the allocated site and are vulnerable to sterilisation.

POLICY S21 – ORBITAL PARK
Policy S21 allocates the Orbital Park site for B1, B2 and B8 uses. Orbital Park is an existing employment site with some undeveloped plots.
Paragraph 4.245 states that "As a result of previous planning permissions, developing the majority of the remaining undeveloped plots at Orbital Park is not constrained by the need to deliver any off-site highway improvements, either at junction 10 of the M20 or at the A2070 junction that provides the main access into the site."
