I would like to support the principles outlined in the local plan and its proposals for Smarden. However, I still have some concerns as to the suitability of the land adjacent to the Charter Hall. These relate to safety in terms of access to and from the site during construction and subsequently for the extra vehicles that even 25 houses in this one site will inevitably produce. Most journeys for these residents (as present residents) will have to be made by car due to poor transport links and
