The County Council – as Local Minerals and Waste Planning Authority - confirms that, according to British Geological Survey safeguarding data, Sandstone (Wadhurst Clay Formation) are present within the allocated site and are vulnerable to sterilisation.
As set out in the adopted Kent Minerals and Waste Local Plan 2013-2030, Policy CSM 5: Land-won Mineral Safeguarding and Policy DM 7: Safeguarding Mineral Resources detail how minerals of economic importance will be safeguarded from being unneces |

The County Council will require proportionate financial contributions towards KCC services including towards the construction costs of any new education required to mitigate the impact of the proposed development, as well as contributions towards the 1 FE expansion of Tenterden Juniors & Infants. |

The proposed policy lacks a little in the protection of the historic Six Fields Path. To achieve the stated ambitions to retain long distance views to St Mildreds Church specific policy should be included to retain Public Footpath AB31 on its existing alignment within a green corridor that retains the desired views. The path also forms part of the prompted "High Weald Landscape" trail, showcasing the valuable features and landscapes of the AONB and must therefore be protected and enhanced. |

Policy S24 allocates upto 175 additional dwellings on the site known as 'Tenterden Southern Extension Phase B'. In line with paragraph 162 of the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and the National Planning Practice Guidance (NPPG), we have undertaken an assessment of our infrastructure, including its ability to meet the forecast demand for the proposed development. That assessment reveals that additional local sewerage infrastructure would be required to accommodate the proposed developm |

S24 Tenterden Southern Extension – the location of this site adjacent to the High Weald AONB is likely to affect its setting. We would therefore request to be involved in the masterplan/development brief for this site, especially in relation to the proposed woodland / wetland belt along its southern boundary but also in relation to the historic routeways in the area which include Small Hythe Road and a track to the south which is linked into by Six Fields Path across the site. |

7 The merits of Policy S24 – The Tenterden Southern Extension Phase B
7.1 Policy S24 indicates that the proposed allocation to the south of TENT 1A shall 'not be occupied until the TENT1A development has been completed.' Appendix 5 of the ALP suggests that TENT1A will not be completed until 2021/22, thus TENT1B will not be able to commence delivery until 2021/22 at the earliest. Having discussed this with Taylor Wimpey we understand that whilst they will be starting |

Kent Wildlife Trust (Vanessa Evans) | 10 Aug 2016 | Local Plan to 2030 - Publication Draft SITE POLICIES Tenterden Tenterden Southern Extension Phase B Content
Kent Wildlife Trust would like to emphasise the importance of maintaining green corridors throughout the second phase of allocations to the south of Tenterden. These should link through to the first phase of allocation immediately south of the town where possible. Any pressure from informal recreation through to the Ashenden Gill Local Wildlife Site (AS05) should be avoided through appropriate design and an appropriate buffer should be provided surrounding this Local Wildlife Site. |
