This document mentions Health only once (in the introduction about partnership with the HWB).

It is imperative that the planners seek additional input from health in the form of the CCG, the GP Federation and other health providers including the hospital and community trust.

This Plan should be mindful of the need to develop high quality out of hospital local facilities as the direction of travel in health and social care is to move all but the most acute services out of hospital setting for delivery at a locality level. Thereby leaving a smaller "hotter" hospital (not requiring expansion as above) and the development of new purpose built facilities housing not only Primary care at scale but wider community health and social care teams and most outpatient and day surgery facilities.

The current plan is to develop this around 3 hubs in Ashford. North, South and Rural each serving 30-50K patients. The larger developments need to offer significan designated land or s106 monies to ensure any population growth is matched by an even larger capacity for local community heath and social care provision.
