Do you consider this part of the document is Sound? No
On which grounds do you consider the document unsound? (if applicable)
  • Not Positively Prepared
Do you consider the Document is Legally Compliant? Yes

This document refers to National Cycle Route 18, but fails to refer to National Cycle Route 17 which also passes through Ashford. As shown on KCC's interactive maps, this runs from west of Ashford, enters the town through Goat Lees, then via Trinity Road and through Bybrook to link with NC 18 at Kinney's Lane. It was originally conceived as part of "The Pilgrims Way Cycle Trail". The route is particularly relevant to proposed housing and commercial development at Eureka Park.

What changes do you suggest to make the document legally compliant or sound? The plan should specifically refer to National Cycle Route 17, explore opportunities for more imaginative routes through Eureka Park, investigate potential impact on tourism, and seek developer contributions where appropriate for any work to complete this route.
Do you consider it necessary to participate at the oral part of the examination? No
