4.116 Seriously concerned that the focus for the town centre developments seems to be on flats. They are cheaper to build and pack people in, and so are attractive to developers, but are not the best solution for vibrant mixed communities where families can thrive. Also, older people looking to downsize quite often want private gardens - so who are these flats for? London commuters? Leaving London is about gaining space, not taking on a £7k commute and still living in a box! And where’s the planning for primary school and secondary school places?
