NOTICE OF PUBLICATION OF THE BETHERSDEN NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN

The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulation 2012 – Regulation 16

The Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004

The proposal

Bethersden Parish Council has submitted the Bethersden Neighbourhood Plan, 2015-2030 to Ashford Borough Council. As the local planning authority, ABC is now required to consult for six weeks - which it has decided to extend to eight weeks - on the submission document. This follows a previous six week period of consultation held by the Parish Council in 2015.

The Bethersden Neighbourhood Plan has been developed in consultation with the local community and provides a vision for the future of the Parish. It sets out a vision, site specific policies and topic policies, which will be used to help determine planning applications within the Parish.

The accompanying Sustainability Assessment (SA), incorporating the requirement of the Strategic Environmental Assessment (SEA) Directive, is also offered for consultation in compliance with EU obligations.
