Charing Neighbourhood Plan (Regulation 16)

Charing Parish Council submitted the Charing Neighbourhood Plan, 2011-2030 to Ashford Borough Council. As the Local Planning Authority, ABC was required to consult on the Neighbourhood Plan, under Regulation 16 of The Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.

The Charing Parish Neighbourhood Plan has been developed in consultation with the local community and provides a vision for the future of the Parish. It sets out a vision, site specific policies and topic policies, which will be used to help determine planning applications within the Parish.

This consultation has now closed.

Update July 2023

Following the positive referendum result, Ashford Borough Council is publishing its decision to ‘make’ the Charing Neighbourhood Plan 2011-2030 as part of Ashford Borough Council’s Development Plan in accordance with Regulation 19 of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012.
