We are launching a Community Governance Review (CGR) to explore whether a new town council should be created for Ashford – the only area in the district currently without a town or parish council.
This is your chance to help decide how Ashford is represented in the future.
We encourage you to read all of the information on our webpage before you complete the survey.
We welcome views from residents, businesses, community organisations and local groups. You can have your say by completing a short survey which is open until 5pm on 5th December.
As part of the survey, we ask for your address and postcode so that we can understand whether you live, work or deliver services within the Ashford area.
Residents are encouraged to respond online if they can as it saves time and money. Anyone who is unable to respond online can request a paper copy of the questionnaire in the following ways:
If you require the questionnaire in a different language, you can select the relevant language at the top right-hand corner of the online questionnaire page. Alternatively email corporatepolicy.team@ashford.gov.uk who will be happy to help arrange a hard copy translation.
We will publish your responses to Question 1, Question 2 and Question 3 but will not publish yours or anyone else's name or personal details.
We ask that feedback is received by 5pm on Friday 5th December 2025.
