Have your say on a new play space by the lake
Ashford Borough Council is seeking feedback on a proposed new play area located by Conningbrook Lake.
Kompan - one of the biggest play companies in the UK and have helped Ashford deliver multiple play projects across the borough - will once again be involved with proceedings for the destination play area and will work closely with ABC to ensure we create something that children will use for many years to come, using the consultation to feed into design.
The aim is to create a high‑quality, inclusive play space that reflects the natural setting, supports a range of play experiences and can be enjoyed by children of different ages and abilities.
Conningbrook Lakes Country Park is a strategic park within Ashford providing around 34 hectares of open space, including the lakes. The Country Park has already established itself as a destination within the Borough and regularly attracts visitors and users from further afield.
ABC believes that the play space will further establish the Country Park as a high-quality, successful, attractive destination that people openly choose to visit.
Consultation
The consultation itself should take 5 minutes to complete. We welcome the views of our residents and professional partners, along with representation from individuals, communities and organisations across the borough. All responses will be considered as part of the final design process.
Thank you for taking part in this consultation.
We ask that feedback is received by Friday 5th June 2026.
