We would very much like you to attend to hear your thoughts and ideas on this important issue. The event will only last 2 hours and will be finished by midday. We are operating the bookings on a first come first served basis as space is limited but we have up to 40 spaces available so please sign up if you can commit the time to join us. We will notify you if you are selected as soon as possible and provide you with more details.
These sessions will invite your views on the quality of new buildings, streets and places, provide more information about the project, and give you the opportunity to help shape the design code. We will discuss the character and context of the area and a vision for East Kent. The design code will be a planning document that sets out specific design requirements for new development including residential layouts, landscaping, streets buildings, green spaces and local character.
The event will be lead by experienced facilitators and consultants BPTW and Design South East working in collaboration with Ashford Borough Council. You do not need to be knowledgeable about Planning to participate, just being interested in your local environment, neighbourhood or the design of places, will be sufficient. This informal and friendly event will be interesting and informative and whilst it may contain some interactive discussions, you can contribute as little or as much as you feel comfortable with.
