Local Government Reorganisation Asset Questionnaire
We are conducting an initial high-level survey of individual councils across Kent with the following objective:
To understand the range of assets held and programme level issues arising from LGR disaggregation / aggregation.
In due course we may also run another survey asking more detailed questions with the Day One objective:
To ensure safe continuity of service delivery, leading to better outcomes.
We will be co-ordinating all this information into an overarching framework in a format to be helpful in the work of the new UA clusters (post-decision - July 2026).
We ask a range of questions and there is opportunity to express your views on interdependencies and key risks to be noted at this stage. We do not include questions on intangible assets (e.g. IP and brands at this stage), and are not considering pension assets, staffing assets, (i.e. HR), and IT assets, as these are currently the focus of other workstreams.
Please download the full survey from the sidebar and read it in it's entirety before completing the survey questions below, this will help to provide context and ensure answer provided are as accurate as possible.
Please ensure that you only make one submission per authority. If your submission requires input from several officers / services within your authority, please work on the submission together so that we can keep responses concise.
Please complete the survey by close of play Friday 1st May 2026.
Thank you for your input. We will be in touch when further information is required to support the LGR Asset Workstream.
