Following this consultation, the council has made the decision to renew the Public Space Protection Order for Conningbrook Lakes until June 2027. 85% of respondents supported renewal or the order.Thank you to those who participated.

All anglers must have a valid membership for fishing at the lake from an authorised agent of Mid Kent Fisheries.
All anglers must have appropriate rod licence issued by the Environment Agency with them and produce on demand.
Wildlife must not be disturbed by any missile.
No lighting of fires or barbeques except in permitted areas and disposed of safely.
The possession of catapults is strictly forbidden unless authorised or licenced by Mid Kent Fisheries for fishing purposes only.
No erecting of tents or bivvies except by authorised anglers / members of Mid Kent Fisheries.
No damage shall be done to the bankside, trees or water plants by digging, cutting or otherwise.
No person may remove, displace or otherwise interfere with any lifesaving equipment (except in an emergency).
No person may deposit or store on the land any controlled waste, or any other items.
No person may enter the water at any time (unless participating in an approved activity under the supervision of an accredited club or association or in an emergency situation).
No person shall refuse to stop drinking alcohol or hand over any containers (sealed or unsealed) which are believed to contain alcohol, when required, to do so by an authorised officer in order to prevent public nuisance or disorder.
No person shall use foul and/or abusive language.
No urinating or defecating.
No amplified music, radio, or other audio is to be played through any device, electronic or otherwise, with the exception of audio devices used in conjunction personal headphones that effectively remain inaudible to other users of the public space.
No public boating or other unauthorised Water Sports Activities. All water sports activities must be arranged through accredited clubs.
No Camping or caravanning.
Dogs must be kept on leads at all times. This is for the benefit of wildlife, other visitors and livestock.
No person shall without authorisation remove, displace or otherwise interfere with any boat, dinghy or similar vessel moored at the jetty or stored at the lakeside or within the boundary of the Country Park.
All vehicles must adhere to the 5mph site speed limit
No unauthorised vehicles - motorised vehicles (including motor bikes) are not allowed within the Country Park, except for:
Disabled access to the launch area
Delivery of boats and equipment
Vehicles entering the park for maintenance purposes or in case of emergencies
