Please note we are in the process of transferring to a new consultation portal system and the consultation responses on this consultation may be temporarily unavailable to view whilst we make this transition.
The Tenterden and Rural Sites Development Plan Document (DPD) is one of the key documents of the Ashford Local Development Framework (LDF) and covers the period up to 2021. Its principal role is to allocate land for residential development in a range of suitable rural settlements. The Plan also includes several topic policies, relevant to rural planning issues.
The Regulation 27 Publication Version of the Tenterden and Rural Sites DPD represents a draft stage of the Plan and in effect represents the document, which the Council intends to submit to the Secretary of State for formal examination. The Publication Version of the DPD was subject to a six week public consultation between the 30th June and the 11th August 2009 (select the 'supporting documents' tab below to see the original June version of the Regulation 27 Publication version).
During the consultation period a total of 447 comments were received and have formed the rationale behind proposed changes to the final version which will be submitted to the Secretary of State. Overall, 39 changes have been outlined in the document, these changes have been identified by being 'struck-through' if something has been deleted and 'underlined' if something has been added. This consultation period offers you the opportunity to comment on these proposed changes.
The original document, proposals maps in pdf format and the schedule of amendments agreed at the 19th November 2009 Executive meeting, can be viewed in the documents list below.
