Please note we are in the process of transferring to a new consultation portal system and the consultation responses on this consultation may be temporarily unavailable to view whilst we make this transition.
Following the conclusion of the Public Examination hearing sessions into the soundness of the Urban Sites and Infrastructure DPD on the 17th May, the Council received an initial response from the Inspector which set out areas for which he considers 'main modifications' will be necessary in order for the DPD to be found sound.
Therefore, this main modifications public consultation details two proposed new policies as suggested by the Inspector. These new policies are MM3 (Policy U0, Presumption in Favour of Sustainable Development) and MM15 (Policy U6B – K College, Jemmett Road). It also includes an updated section on the NPPF, which is MM2.
This consultation relates ONLY to the Main Modifications to the DPD listed above, and not on any other issues already consulted upon. Representations received that refer to any other issues in this DPD will be invalid.
If you require a hard copy of the new policies and representation forms/guidance please email ashfordldf@ashford.gov.uk , call 01233 330229
We can only consider representations that are received during the 6 weeks of consultation beginning on Friday 13th July until 5pm on Friday 24th August 2012.
