In developing our plan for the borough 2024-2028 we would like to hear your views on the draft document. It includes the challenges we face, our aims and how we plan to achieve them.

We recommend that you read and keep this document open whilst taking the survey for reference. Please complete the survey in one session.

I will try to get them all in here. The Appendices numbers need to be reversed, i.e. so that Appendix 2 is numbered as 1 - they will then be in the correct order. Much of the data in the boxes would best be given as comparative rather than absolute data, e.g. unemployment figures, and crimes per month are shown as 950 - this seems very high but it might not be. In many cases it would be informative to give data sources, e.g. for visitors each year. And who is a visitor? This seems a very vague term. And how are "staying trips" assessed? On page 7 the Plan could include both the proposed Brompton cycle plant and the Newtown studios in the ex railway buildings. On page 6 another major challenge should be that of coping with the number of planning applications. This is in terms of the sheer number of applications, the imposition of external government national and local policies and the national shortage of experienced planners. On page 8, energy efficient homes also contribute to improved health outcomes. Page 8 seems somewhat superfluous because most of these points are covered elsewhere. On page 12 the caption in the lower box is best read as a single sentence. In many of the tables it is best that the wording in the "Success measures" boxes does not read the same as that in the "descriptions" box. On page 19, what is the "Unframed festival"? Why does the same "Risk appetite assessment " occur on both pages 18 and 21?
